Privacy Policy

We collect only what we need to run the initiative:

• Anonymous survey responses. When a student completes a questionnaire we record their answers together with non-identifying context they provide — their school, state and Local Government Area, and broad demographic ranges (age band, class level and gender). We do not collect names, contact details, IP-based identities or any information that could be traced back to an individual student.
• Free-text answers. Some questions allow optional written responses. Please avoid including personal or identifying details in these fields.
• Administrator accounts. Staff who manage the platform have accounts that store a name, email address and a securely hashed password. This applies only to authorised administrators, not to survey respondents.
• Messages you send us. If you contact us by email or WhatsApp, we keep the information you choose to share so we can respond.

• To understand school climate and student well-being in aggregate, and to help schools act on what they learn.
• To produce anonymous, aggregated analytics and reports — never profiles of individual students.
• To operate, secure and improve the platform.
• To respond to enquiries and provide support.

We do not sell your information, and we do not use survey responses for advertising.

Our public pages and surveys do not use tracking or advertising cookies. We use a single strictly-necessary cookie to keep administrators securely signed in to the admin dashboard. Surveys may use your browser's local storage on your own device to save your progress so you don't lose your answers if you navigate away; this never leaves your device and is cleared when you submit.

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed administrator passwords, access controls limiting the dashboard to authorised staff, and reputable hosting and database providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to safeguard your information and to keep student responses anonymous by design.

We rely on trusted providers to deliver the platform. These may include our website hosting and database infrastructure, and WhatsApp for optional direct contact. These providers process data only as needed to provide their service and under their own privacy and security obligations. Book purchase links may take you to an external store with its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review the policies of any third-party site you visit.

Because student surveys are anonymous, we generally cannot link a response back to an individual to retrieve or delete it. Where we do hold information that identifies you — for example, an administrator account or an email you sent us — you may request to access, correct or delete it, and you may ask questions about how your information is handled. Contact us using the details below and we will respond promptly.

Save Sylvester works with schools and young people. Our surveys are intentionally anonymous and collect no personal identifiers from students. We encourage schools and parents to review this policy and to reach out with any concerns.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
